If Bioware charge for an ending everyone will hate them. I can't see that happening. So stop speculating and just wait and see what they do :P

The community manager stated it was always meant to be a bittersweet ending. The story as you played it even made you realise you were going to die if you think about it. I think that something is going to happen in regards to u're friends waking you up in the rubble and carying you to the beam. Kind of a collected heroic moment. But that you still go in alone and go down with the ship. Who knows, maybe you play as one of the companions for the real ending :p

In my opinion, EA pushed Bioware to hurry up. Bioware storywriter and devs freaked out and then came up with an ingenious idea to make it look like the game was ending and then make it into part of the indoctrination and then hint at another story. I don't believe that "The Truth DLC" or patch will cost anything tbh. Side stories yes. But in this case I think it's different. I think the fans are blowing it up, I think Bioware is just waiting for more ppl to finish the game.

Wow, that's ridiculous. Even the ending as it is, is fine. It will just be 500 times cooler if Shepard is under indoctrination at the time of the ending which it seems it was designed to look like. Even the devs and community manager are resisting telling people what's in store for them. But this sort of pressure will unfortunately ruin it.
